Responsibilities for Revenue Accountant:
Collect and review data from various operating sites and systems to close revenue books efficiently.
The Revenue Accountant will support the monthly and quarterly financial close process, including importing and exporting data, analyzing variances, and explaining results.
Process transactions in revenue support systems and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Review customer contracts for revenue recognition attributes and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
The Revenue Accountant makes manual journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts at period-end.
Maintain internal controls and assist in external audit activities, preparing necessary documentation.
The Revenue Accountant will contribute to the implementation of new revenue recognition tools and systems (RevStream, Alteryx, Agiloft CMS, Blackline, PowerBI).
Qualifications for Revenue Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA, CA, CIA, CMA designation preferred.
3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or publicly traded company.
Strong accounting background, including journal entries, general ledger, and reconciliations.
Proficiency in Financial ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Great Plains AX) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
