Overview of the Staff Accountant role:
General Ledger Management:
Assist in managing and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial data.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring all entries are documented properly.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, providing insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
Bank Reconciliation:
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, tracking actuals versus projections.
Auditing and Compliance:
Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial procedures adhere to regulatory requirements.
Expense Tracking and Analysis:
Monitor and analyze expenses to ensure proper classification and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the accounting team and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate reporting.
Preferred qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related accounting field.
Proficient in Excel software.
1+ years of experience in an accounting role.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
