What You’ll Do:
We're looking for an Art Director / Senior Brand Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team in New York City. In this role, you will lead the creative strategy & vision for Nexxen’s global marketing campaigns, designing advertisements, video assets, presentations, digital assets across email, web and social media properties, and experiential assets including signage, invitations and event landing pages that help us to own our space in the digital advertising industry. The Art Director / Senior Brand Designer will drive the conceptualization, production, and optimization of exceptional, visually engaging, beautiful designs that represent and elevate Nexxen’s brand identity.
Reporting into the Vice President, Marketing & Communications, you will apply your leadership experience and seasoned design expertise in bringing our brand stories to life in dynamic ways via multiple creative campaigns and deliverables. You will also be responsible for fostering, growing, directing, and providing design guidance to a Brand Designer and external creative partners, in the spirit of enhancing our brand and marketing materials.
Our team follows a hybrid schedule working in-office three days a week and remotely for the rest.
Each day can be different here at Nexxen, but some of the things you can expect to be doing daily include:
Operate as the central, go-to voice for all things brand marketing creative.
Drive the creative strategy behind all brand marketing campaigns, while preserving the visual integrity of the Nexxen brand and ensuring visual consistency across all marketing channels and deliverables.
Guide and mentor brand designer in the development of various creative materials.
Embrace project ownership and design vision over the creation of branded experiential (80%) and digital (20%) marketing materials.
Collaborate with different teams at all levels, driving projects autonomously from start to finish, anticipating, addressing and managing stakeholder feedback, approval, and post-campaign follow-up.
Apply broad knowledge of design with a hands-on approach and high skill levels in branding, digital design, print production and motion design/storyboarding.
Grow the team’s capabilities, optimizing our materials and processes by consistently, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities, collaborating with team management on how to address them, and executing independently when needed.
What Will I Bring?
7-10 years of relevant experience in brand marketing strategy and design across a variety of digital/online and print/offline assets.
Strong communication skills and capacity to articulate needs clearly and listen to others attentively in order to translate direction into action & results.
Proven experience in creative concepting and ideation with the ability to transform creative concepts into tangible campaigns and deliverables that support brand marketing objectives.
A brilliant portfolio of digital and print work, which shows off your design expertise in a wide range of disciplines.
Ability to tactfully and clearly articulate feedback to design team members and external creative partners to elicit the best possible work.
Demonstrated ability mentoring junior designers.
In-depth knowledge and expertise in Adobe Suite software (Especially Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, with After Effects and Premier Pro being nice-to-have) with sprinkles of 2D/3D conceptual drawing.
Proficiency in Vyond or other animation software a plus.
Expertise in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products.
Demonstrated ability in creating and owning design systems and brand guidelines.
Expertise in presentation design and flow, with the ability to communicate best practices and suggestions to high-level stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability conceptualizing and executing data-centric stories through infographics and visual designs.
Obsessive attention to detail so work output requires minimal oversight and feedback, while remaining open to listening, absorbing, and taking quick action on feedback when necessary.
Passion for evolving design trends with the ability to translate them into an existing brand style with an eye for consistency, and is comfortable explaining your rationale to non-designers.
Positive, proactive, ego-minimal outlook when receiving feedback/criticism, moving projects forward through collaboration, stakeholder buy-in, and stellar communication.
Strong interest in UI/UX best practices and experience implementing them in an established branding structure.
PowerPoint expertise with fluency in other Office suite products such as MS Word, and ability to integrate and manipulate excel charts in PPT to make data shine.
Proven project/process/workflow management and organizational acumen with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and autonomously while adhering to deadlines.
Penchant for cultivating collaboration with cross-functional colleagues to fulfill shared objectives.
Positive, solutions-focused disposition to proactively resolve challenges and mitigate risks to project plans.
Ad tech industry experience is not required, but an intellectual curiosity to learn more about the industry is preferred.

In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in New York City is estimated at $100,000 - $125,000 at the time of posting, with the potential of an incentive or bonus. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
