Job Description We are looking for an Associate Community Manager to further grow ZAM's Community Team and assist in the creation and implementation of Community Development and Management strategies for our global gaming clientele. The ideal candidate is someone that has a passion for video games, deep knowledge and love of the gaming industry and has a high level of attention to detail. The Associate Community Manager at ZAM will need to flex their project management skills, track and complete a variety of tasks for multiple projects, build strong relationships with our clients, manage other community team members, as well as grow and engage with online gaming communities. This will be a CONTRACT position averaging about 20 hours per week at a rate of $25.00 - $30.00 hourly. This contract is expected to be completed by the end of January. The contract will then go month to month after January. Responsibilities Assist with and take ownership of a variety of gaming community development projects including strategy and operations. Coordinate communications with our clients, understand their goals and provide solutions. Provide reporting and accurate tracking of projects to clients and internal stakeholders, effectively communicating updates, risks and roadblocks. Build and optimize community platforms from the ground up including Discord, Subreddits, Forums, Twitch, Facebook Groups and more. Community moderation, volunteer management and recruitment across multiple platforms. Create and run community events to engage and grow online communities. Work with other internal departments including marketing and creative services to complete projects with a high level of quality. Monitor online community sentiment and provide constructive feedback on how to improve and maintain positive sentiment for our clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. 4+ years of community management experience in an agency or gaming environment. 2+ years of experience managing a team or freelancers. Passionate gamer with experience in PC/console and mobile games - sports games experience is a plus. Self-motivated, independent, high attention to detail, process-oriented and adaptable when working across multiple clients and business units. Strong leadership and effective resource management skills. An open minded and problem-solving attitude with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Experience launching at least one new product and/or facilitating the growth of a thriving community. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with ambiguity and cooperate effectively with our international clientele. Flexibility for irregular work hours to collaborate with our headquarters in Los Angeles as well as our international clients. Proficient with common online community platforms (Discord, Reddit, Wikis, Forums, Twitch, etc.) as well as social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat and Facebook). Experience working with project management and social media tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Asana, Trello, etc.).
