Sun River Heath is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist to support our Sutphin location.The Licensed Creative Arts Therapist plans and conducts art therapy sessions to improve clients' physical, cognitive, or emotional well-being.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate art therapy groups for all clients Maintains inventory of art supplies as well as order Attends all mandatory in-service programs including fire safety, infection control, clinical HIV/AIDS manifestations, transmission, prevention, psycho-social issues, confidentiality and client's rights Uses the creative processes to bring out artistic self-expression to help clients resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight. Designs art therapy sessions or programs in consultation with clients or site administrators to meet client's goals and objectives. Gathers client information from sources such as case documentation, client observation, or interviews of client Assesses client needs or disorders using drawing, painting, sculpting, or other artistic processes. Analyzes or synthesizes client data to draw conclusions or make recommendations for art therapy. Selects or prepares artistic media or related equipment or devices to accomplish therapy session objectives. Develops individualized treatment plans that incorporate art therapy, counseling, or psychotherapy techniques. Provides guided self-expression experiences to help clients recover from or cope with cognitive, emotional, or physical impairments. Writes treatment plans, case summaries or other reports related to individual clients or client groups. Confers with other professionals on client's treatment team to develop, coordinate, or integrate treatment plans. Attend daily briefings and /or debriefings during rounds with ADHC team. Develops projects to showcase Art Therapy, including printed booklets of artwork and creative writing, art installations onsite, and promotion of Art Therapy with the agency.Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree in Art TherapyMinimum Related Work Experience: 2-4 yearsSalary Range: $44,850 - $51,675Sun River Health is a network of over 40 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) providing primary, dental, pediatric, OB-GYN, and behavioral health care to over 245,000 patients annually.
