Job Description: Associate Apparel Designer

Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Apparel Designer to join their team. This role is ideal for a designer with foundational experience in apparel design who is ready to take on greater responsibilities and collaborate with senior designers to create innovative, market-ready products.

~4 Days on Site~ Mon - Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Design and create apparel concepts using Adobe Illustrator
• Develop and maintain comprehensive tech packs in Illustrator
• Size and adjust artwork to ensure alignment with design specifications
• Select Pantone colors and review lab dips for accuracy
• Design and organize labels, trims, and samples
• Communicate design feedback and approvals to factories
• Utilize Excel to manage sample sheets, track progress, and ensure timely completion
• Perform quality checks on samples, including verifying washes and finishes
• Lead design projects involving multiple colorways and prints
• Create stripes, patterns, and other key design elements in Illustrator
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and merchandising, to ensure design concepts meet business needs
• Manage the creation and maintenance of tech packs and oversee the lab dip process, ensuring timely production and accurate execution of designs

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and strong design skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Experience in apparel design and interest in furthering design expertise
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills for sample sheet and project management
• Keen attention to detail, ensuring design quality and accuracy
