Job Description: Associate Apparel Designer
Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Apparel Designer to join their team. This role is ideal for a designer with foundational experience in apparel design who is ready to take on greater responsibilities and collaborate with senior designers to create innovative, market-ready products.
~4 Days on Site~ Mon - Thursday.
Responsibilities: Design and create apparel concepts using Adobe Illustrator Develop and maintain comprehensive tech packs in Illustrator Size and adjust artwork to ensure alignment with design specifications Select Pantone colors and review lab dips for accuracy Design and organize labels, trims, and samples Communicate design feedback and approvals to factories Utilize Excel to manage sample sheets, track progress, and ensure timely completion Perform quality checks on samples, including verifying washes and finishes Lead design projects involving multiple colorways and prints Create stripes, patterns, and other key design elements in Illustrator Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and merchandising, to ensure design concepts meet business needs Manage the creation and maintenance of tech packs and oversee the lab dip process, ensuring timely production and accurate execution of designs
Requirements: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and strong design skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects Experience in apparel design and interest in furthering design expertise Basic to intermediate Excel skills for sample sheet and project management Keen attention to detail, ensuring design quality and accuracy
