Job Description
We are a growing Consulting Engineering firm located in Charlotte, NC. We are currently seeking a talented Plumbing Designer. As an organization, we are fully committed to sustainable design. We are looking for a designer with consulting engineering experience who will be responsible for schematic design through construction administration for offices, retail, condominiums, industrial, and multifamily residential projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives.
- Involve conventional types of plans and specifications.
- Work reviewed by Project Managers for the application of sound professional judgment.
- Design power, lighting, fire alarm, data, and telecommunication building systems.
- Design electrical power distribution circuiting.
- Design lighting and lighting controls.
- Design emergency systems.
- Design fire alarm systems.
- Design power distribution systems.
- 3-5+ years of experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, data, and telecommunication building systems design.
- Strong AutoCAD skills including ACAD.
- Excellent report writing ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
- Multi-family and commercial power and lighting design knowledge a plus.
