This Opportunity:
- Collaborate with the civil engineering team to develop project plans and designs, with a primary focus on civil engineering design and plan preparation.
- Work on projects ranging from transportation safety improvements, to new developments or habitat restorations.
- Utilize Open Roads Designer software to create technical drawings and assist in design modifications.
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive technical reports and project documentation.
- Conduct field observations to evaluate the progress and quality of construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations during the design and plan preparation stages.
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address design- and construction-related issues and resolve conflicts.
- Monitor project timelines to ensure efficient completion of design-related tasks.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in civil engineering design and plan preparation.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in using Open Roads Designer software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Some knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and at construction sites.
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment and materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technician in Civil Engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
