As the Senior Event Planner, you will spearhead the planning and execution of complex programs and events, setting the standard for excellence in customer service and event management. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of Purdue Conferences' value proposition through high-quality experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute a diverse roster of complex programs and events
- Provide coaching and mentorship to lower-level Event Planners
- Set and maintain high standards for the event planning team in areas of customer service
- Create and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders and vendors on campus and in the community
- Develop innovative strategies to enhance the overall event experience
- Oversee budget management and resource allocation for events
What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Four (4) - five (5) years of experience in the hospitality industry required
- Excellent project management skills are essential
- Attention to detail, multi-tasking and ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Work with diverse clients to design their vision and produce exceptional conferences which meet those expectations
- Effective oral and written communication and computer skills are required
- Ability to:
- create, manage and close project budgets
- work within a team environment and collaborate
- Evening, weekend and travel are required for this position
- Knowledge of the University organization, policies, procedures, and regulations

- FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible for Overtime)
