Job Description: Event Coordinator
We are seeking an event coordinator to join our team for a 12-month contract. This is an opportunity to work with a client that is a leader in the online real estate marketplace where they are on a mission to make home a reality. This is an on-site role working as part of an event team in Seattle, WA.
What you will do:
- Duties include but are not limited to making arrangements and local planning of company retreats to ensure everything goes smoothly without a hitch.
- Assist the meeting/event staff with all aspects of planning a meeting or special event within the organization.
- Involved in location, food, transportation, and presentation arrangements.
- Support anywhere from 1-10 events per week. Events range in size but typically total 150-500 employees gathering onsite during any given week.
- Act as on-site point of contact for Seattle team gatherings where you will interface with leaders, assistants and event contacts.
- Contribute to on-site event operations to ensure event supplies, catering, design assets, etc. are in place to support a great attendee experience
- Support our team gatherings nationally, including support around areas like building access, event pages/RSVPs, attendee resources, and issue resolution in support of remote event planners.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 2 years' experience with onsite event planning
- MUST BE LOCAL to the Seattle, WA area, as this position will report into our main headquarters located in Downtown Seattle.
- Basic knowledge of Google based platforms.
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Extremely customer service oriented
- Adaptable and flexible to changing business needs
- Detail oriented
- Ability to communicate and work with effectively across teams
