SUMMARY

This position provides marketing coordination and tactical implementation for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. Working in conjunction with the marketing department team members, this position is expected to assist, coordinate, and implement EAA's integrated marketing efforts for the AirVenture convention and other campaigns.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Assist the marketing department with implementing AirVenture-related marketing plans.
  2. Conduct research as assigned by the marketing department.
  3. Produce project briefs and metric reports.
  1. Write copy for, edit, and proofread a wide range of materials, including but not limited to e-newsletters/eblasts, web content, advertising copy, and marketing collateral copy, posters, postcards, and brochures.
  2. Work collaboratively with creative, digital media, and other in-house service areas to fulfill tactical requirements of project plans.
  3. Comfortable cold calling and negotiating to secure radio ad trades.
  4. Provide support to marketing department staff during the AirVenture convention, including implementation of logistical plans, execution of special events held during the week, and engage and assist convention attendees.
  5. Participate as an integral member of the team, including brainstorming ideas, offering input, coordinating tasks and collaborating as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seeking a secondary educational degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or related field.
  • Results-oriented team player with the ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; must have credibility, good judgment, honesty, and integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, learn, and use changing technologies.
  • Effective skills in time management.
  • Ability to generate and deliver persuasive and clear verbal and written communications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical office setting. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Preparation for AirVenture or other events may require lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods of time while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and push and pull motions.
