Job Title: Marketing Communications Specialist Department: Marketing Reports To: Director of Marketing Position Summary: LaMotte is looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist who is hands-on, works well in a diverse team environment, and can self-manage to execute a strategy to generate and nurture leads from start to finish. This individual will demonstrate a positive, creative, experience-based attitude while managing and executing diverse marketing projects. The Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing and will be responsible for the creation and implementation of standardized marketing and communications projects including but not limited to digital marketing, advertising, trade shows and events, collateral, brand development, and packaging. Primary Job Responsibilities: Website & Social Media: Update the existing website via CMS. Participate in the core team responsible for future design updates. Manage content calendar, coordinate with designers and SMEs to develop graphics/copy, and post updates to social media channels. Monitor social media channels for trends and direct communications Analyze and report website/social media metrics and provide recommendations to improve SEO and site traffic. Email & Marketing Automation: Assist with the launch and integration of new CRM and marketing automation platforms. Identify and build marketable segments with demonstrable KPIs. Develop new email campaigns to nurture leads through the sales funnel. Collateral & New Content Creation: Learn the industries and technologies where LaMotte participates to provide an educated perspective on potential topics and formats. Write and develop new content (written, image, video, webinar, etc) by coordinating with subject matter experts and potential external vendors. Manage existing product collateral to maintain design consistency and accurate, up-to-date information. Tradeshows & Events: Coordinate with the Sales team to identify a full annual list of tradeshows and industry events. Lead all logistics including contracts, budgets, shipping, lead capture, etc. Some travel (10-20%) within the United States may be required. Advertising: Launch and manage Google Advertising campaign in alignment with strategic priorities. Coordinate with Sales and Design teams to place digital/print advertising through a wide variety of external vendors. Manage vendor relationships, invoicing/budgets, and all tactical details. Track advertising KPIs and provide recommendations for future changes or improvements. Strategy, Budget & Project Management: Support the Director of Marketing in building the annual Marketing strategy and budget. Manage and pay invoices, track spending against the Marketing budget Miscellaneous: 1. Notifies the manager of any process, quality, equipment, safety, personnel problems, etc., and cooperates in resolving such issues as well. For example, requests assistance when systems prevent the efficient performance of duties or when a system fails. 2. Compliance with all Company policies (i.e. personnel, safety, etc.). 3. Located in our Newark, DE facility with occasional travel to our Chestertown, MD facility. 4. Performs other duties as assigned. (Such duties may or may not be essential functions of the job.) Requirements Qualifications : A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in marketing communications is required. Experience with website content management, email and marketing automation, advertising and tradeshow management is highly desired. Experience managing relationships with eternal vendors is highly desired. Able to function both in a team environment and individually is essential. Proficient computer skills using Teams and Office products. Must be ethical, trustworthy, professional, able to maintain confidentiality, and a team player. Strong interpersonal skills: pleasant demeanor, good listener, tactful/diplomatic, good oral and written communication. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent administrative and organizational skills including the ability to pay attention to details and perform tasks accurately and independently. Excellent time management skills and ability to work under intense pressure to meet deadlines. Good judgment/decision-making skills. Environmental/Physical Factors : Works indoors in temperature-controlled environment. No significant exertion required. Primarily sits at desk, works on computer, talks on telephone, and interacts with employees. However, walks to and from other departments throughout the company, printers and fax machines, meetings, restroom, etc. May on occasion drive to and attend an offsite meeting or training seminar or pick up items locally for a company-sponsored event. When preparing for company-sponsored events, may assist with set up and break down of tables & chairs, transporting food, and cleanup.
