Assistant Marketing Manager (Specialty Brands) Our Company: World Finer Foods is a full-service sales, marketing and distribution company for specialty food and personal care brands. With nearly $250 million in annual sales, World Finer Foods sells over 30 brands and over 600 products from around the world. Today we manage a group of our own brands as well as client-owned brands. Our Specialty brand portfolio spans multiple categories with brands in a variety of stages of their lifecycles in the U.S. market - from emerging brands to established specialty brands. World Finer Foods has an immediate opening for an Assistant Marketing Manager on the Specialty Brands Marketing Team. The successful candidate will have a service-oriented mindset combined with strong project management, analytical, communication and influencing skills. Job Description: The Assistant Marketing Manager is an entry-level role that offers the opportunity to begin a career in consumer packaged goods (CPG), kicking off an exciting career path in brand management. The successful candidate will be mentored by senior members of the marketing department to effectively learn systems, processes and the Specialty Foods industry. The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting senior members of the team by helping to manage or directly managing a portfolio of brands including but not limited to the following functions: Developing and executing profitable trade sales and marketing programs Creating and implementing action plans by analyzing: Pricing Promotions Channel strategy Consumer and customer sales data Competitors Geographic penetration Market/category trends Managing expenses against budget Building retail presentations to support sales team calls Providing regular reporting to brand owners (internal or external) to show progress against plan Partnering with sales and purchasing teams to deliver accurate demand forecasts Skills and Experience: Individual should be able to work both autonomously and in a team environment Strong written and verbal communication abilities, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and analytic skills are necessary The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment and will bring a positive attitude to the team Requirements: • Exceptional time management, project management, and organizational skills • Strong computer (Microsoft Office Suite) and analytic skills • Comfortable interpreting, manipulating and analyzing data from a variety of sources • Ability to influence without direct authority • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills • Ability to travel up to 10% Experience: • 0-3 years of experience • Knowledge of the consumer packaged goods industry in marketing or sales a plus Education: • Bachelor's Degree is required (Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance are preferred) Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401 (k), life insurance and more.
