Email Marketing Specialist

We seek a skilled Email Marketing Specialist to enhance our recruitment efforts through effective and visually engaging email campaigns who will also contribute to our bi-weekly newsletter and post to social media. Position Overview:
The Email Marketing Specialist will develop, implement, and optimize email marketing strategies to effectively communicate with our audience and boost customer engagement. This individual will manage all aspects of email marketing, including campaign planning, automation, list segmentation, performance tracking, and A/B testing. A crucial part of this role involves designing eye-catching and responsive email templates that reflect our brand identity and resonate with our audience. You will also make content schedules for our newsletter, design engaging digital graphics, schedule social media posts, and write blog content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Plan, design, and execute email marketing campaigns, including promotional, transactional, and drip campaigns. Ensure all designs are visually appealing and optimized for various devices.
- Content Creation: Create compelling email and blog content in visually engaging layouts, ensuring the messaging is aligned with our brand voice and objectives.
- List Management: Manage and grow email subscriber lists, ensuring compliance with email regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
- Automation: Set up and manage email automation workflows to nurture leads and retain customers.
- Segmentation & Personalization: Segment the audience based on behavior, demographics, and preferences to deliver targeted messages and personalized designs that enhance user engagement.
- A/B Testing: Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, and designs to optimize open rates, click-through rates (CTR), and conversions.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and report on key email marketing metrics such as open rates, CTR, conversions, and unsubscribe rates, and provide actionable insights to improve campaign performance.
- Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in email marketing, recruiting, and industries we serve to maintain a competitive edge.
- Newsletter & Social Media: Write compelling content for our newsletter, create engaging graphics, and schedule social media posts through our PM software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an Email Marketing Specialist, Email Campaign Manager, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or similar.
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including design, copywriting, and analytics.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customization.
- Experience with graphic design tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Canva.
- Experience with project management tools like Clickup or Basecamp, and social media tools like Hootsuite or CoSchedule.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decisions.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation tools.
- Knowledge of GDPR and CAN-SPAM compliance.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Bullhorn Automation.
- Experience in the STEM and/or recruiting industry.
- Experience making blog and social media content schedules, and basic knowledge of SEO and content writing.
