About the Role:

As a Senior Marketing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving our data-driven marketing strategies by transforming complex data into actionable insights. Your expertise in quantitative analysis, data visualization, and advanced analytics will empower our media strategists and leadership to make informed decisions that enhance marketing performance and optimize strategic efforts. You'll collaborate closely with Data Engineering to ensure data integrity and leverage proprietary data to uncover innovative marketing opportunities.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and analyzing A/B tests, developing comprehensive reports, and presenting insights that directly influence the company's strategic direction. Your ability to translate business needs into technical requirements will be crucial in building robust data solutions that support our marketing objectives. Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Data Engineering to optimize data tracking/quality and drive data warehouse improvements;
  • Finding innovative ways to use proprietary data for advanced analytics and marketing strategy purposes;
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and data visualization to tell the story behind the numbers and provide recommendations to media strategists and leadership;
  • Design and analyze A/B tests to drive KPI improvements;
  • Provide actionable results that the business can leverage to set strategic direction and make day-to-day decisions;
  • Translating business requirements into engineering requirements and coordinating with Data Engineering to build out the solutions;
  • Analyze marketing and customer acquisition data and provide valuable, data-centric insights, and solutions;
  • Develop standardized and ad hoc reports to inform business decisions, with an emphasis on automation and scalability;
  • Ensure IT leadership is appropriately informed of performance or other issues;
  • Develop insights that can be used to drive optimizations across all channels;
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of all marketing data sources and legacy queries for effective data analysis;
  • Working across different teams and stakeholders, both internal and external;
  • Helping to create test strategy and measurement plans;
  • Analyze and report on funnel metrics and campaigns effectiveness including traffic, acquisition, conversion, and return on marketing investment;
  • Presenting insights to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Flexibility to deal with rapidly changing, time-constrained projects;
  • Effective communication skills to present information to technical and non-technical audience;
  • Knowledge of and curiosity to stay current on industry analytical trends;
  • Experience developing and maintaining reports in Retool or other data visualization tool;
  • Experience working with data from marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of the customer acquisition, re-engagement and retention processes are all preferred.
  • Capable of communicating and inspiring strong collaboration;
  • Very strong analytical skills.
  • Previous use of analytics and testing tools, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Monetate, Optimize, VWO, as well as visualization tools.
  • Familiar with SQL programming language.
  • Effective leadership, persuasion and prioritization skills.
  • Prior experience working at a Marketing Agency.
  • Experience in the retail marketing industry preferred.
  • Marketing or Business Analytics degree preferred.

January Digital is committed to providing our employees with flexible work options that allow them to balance their professional and personal responsibilities. As such, we offer a hybrid work policy that allows employees to divide their time between working in the office and working remotely. Under this policy, employees are required to work in either our Dallas or NYC office at least 5 days per month, however you are welcomed to come in as often as you'd like! These days will be determined by your manager and/or team.

The base salary range for this role in New York City is $100,000 - 130,000, depending on experience. Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes a bi-annual performance bonus, free health insurance, annual wellness stipend, company 401k contribution, & more.
