Summary Statement

The Social Media Intern will be responsible for assisting in a range of social media tactics as they apply to the City of Boise's vision, mission, and values. Their duties will include researching, tracking campaign analytics, creating engaging social media content and captions, and aligning with the citys brand guidelines and voice.

Requirements

Required Knowledge and Experience:

+ Experience or interest in concepting, designing, and writing social media posts

+ Interest and knowledge of branded social media accounts and social media trends

+ Social media management tool knowledge

+ Ability to stay organized and project manage multiple things at once

+ Excellent writing and communication skills

Internship Requirements:

To be eligible for the City of Boise Internship Program, applicants must be:

+ Undergraduate or graduate students with a strong academic record or graduated in the last 12 months from an accredited university

+ Majoring in mass communications, media production, marketing or related fields

+ Be able to work up to 19 hours per week.

+ Be able to commit to the entire internship program.

Internship Duration: January 2025 - May 2025
