As Social Media Coordinator, the successful candidate will develop, oversee and build on Human Appeal (HA)'s online community management program via selecting talent through outreach, insights and internal knowledge, while conducting ongoing reviews of performance, and analysis of results and learnings to inform strategy and strengthen HA's online communities. To also operate across the key prominent social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, You Tube, TikTok, Twitch, ClubHouse etc.), looking at how HA can grow our online communities strategically, and where we can engage, support and reassure through insight, impact, endorsers, influencers and experts. All with a view to retaining, growing, and optimizing HA's online community in order to maximize donations year-over-year.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Successfully plan and execute the social media content calendar
  • Coordinate with the Content and Influencer teams for relevant content.
  • Schedule and post content across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
  • Ensure all content is brand-aligned and mission-driven.
  • Research and implement content relevant to humanitarian, cultural, and Islamic events.
  • Develop engaging captions and hashtags to enhance content visibility.
  • Successfully increase engagement on all social media platforms
  • Proactively engage with followers, responding to comments, messages, and questions.
  • Utilize interactive content like polls, quizzes, and live sessions.
  • Identify and join relevant conversations in the non-profit and humanitarian sectors.
  • Address and manage user feedback and comments professionally.
  • Successfully support fundraising and awareness campaigns
  • Coordinate with the campaign team to promote ongoing initiatives.
  • Develop platform-specific strategies to highlight different campaigns.
  • Work with the design team to create campaign-specific visuals.
  • Track campaign performance and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Successfully monitor social media trends and analytics
  • Track metrics like reach, engagement, and follower growth.
  • Provide weekly and monthly social media reports with actionable insights.
  • Adjust content strategy based on analytics to improve engagement.
  • Stay updated on platform algorithm changes and recommend adaptations.
  • Strong experience in social media management (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube).
  • Skilled in content creation, including basic graphic design and video editing.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey brand messaging clearly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis to monitor, measure, and report on social media KPIs.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities and strategies.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED

EDUCATION/EXPERTISE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's preferred in PR or Marketing
  • Minimum 4 years' experience within a similar role managing a social media community
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of both current and emerging global platforms including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Club House & Instagram
  • Basic Google analytics knowledge would be a bonus
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/ETC:
  • Experience in talent / Influencer management
  • Experience of pitching and negotiating with external partners and agencies
  • Experience in interpreting and analyzing data to identify marketing strategies
  • Significant experience working in a commercial environment, such as an agency
  • Significant experience in PR and influencer management, brand culture, with an established network of gen-Z influencer contacts. Multi country experience a bonus
  • Project management experience
  • Track record of successful collaborations with affiliates / influencers
  • 2 years' account handling or influencer-management experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
  • May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium weight up to twelve (12) pounds and/or exert up to twelve (12) pounds of force.

Restoring safe and secure residential spaces in Syria, like the construction of a new town with 1,000 newly constructed homes in Al Zahoor.
