As UI/UX Designer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our digital presence through the design and optimization of web pages and landing pages. This position requires a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, user testing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques. The ideal candidate will have a talent for creating visually appealing and functional designs that drive engagement and conversions while aligning with our mission and brand identity. This role also involves producing creative content, including graphic and multimedia designs, to support various digital marketing initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Design and Develop Web & Landing Pages:

Design and develop visually compelling and user-friendly web pages and landing pages that align with Human Appeal's brand and drive conversions. Apply UX best practices to ensure that all web and landing pages provide a seamless and intuitive user experience. Collaborate with marketing and development teams to ensure that designs are implemented correctly, meeting all functional and aesthetic requirements. Continuously optimize existing web pages and landing pages through A/B testing, data analysis, and user feedback to improve user experience and conversion rates. Maintain and update design assets, ensuring they are consistent with current brand guidelines and accessible for team use. Conduct User Testing & Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):

Conduct user testing sessions to gather insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points using tools like heatmaps, surveys, and usability tests. Analyze user data and feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing user experience and increasing conversion rates on digital platforms. Implement changes and enhancements based on testing results, focusing on maximizing engagement and driving conversions. Work closely with the digital marketing team to align CRO efforts with overall marketing and organizational objectives. Document and communicate findings from user testing and CRO initiatives, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Produce Creative Design & Multimedia Content:

Lead the creation of high-quality graphic and multimedia content, including images, videos, infographics, and animations, for use across web and digital marketing channels. Ensure all creative content adheres to Human Appeal's brand guidelines, effectively communicating the organization's mission and values. Collaborate with content and marketing teams to develop creative assets that enhance storytelling, engagement, and user interaction. Support the design of marketing materials for various digital platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and promotional content. Explore and implement innovative design techniques and multimedia formats to keep content fresh and engaging. Facilitate Cross-functional Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with digital marketing, development, and content teams to ensure that all design projects are aligned with broader organizational goals and marketing strategies. Provide design support for email campaigns, social media posts, and other digital marketing initiatives, ensuring consistency across all channels. Participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions, contributing creative ideas and insights that drive marketing success. Serve as a design advisor for other departments, offering guidance on best practices and design principles. Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed to enhance the quality and scope of design projects. Track Performance & Provide Reporting:

Track and analyze the performance of web pages, landing pages, and other digital assets, using data to inform design decisions and optimize user experience. Report on the impact of design changes on key performance metrics, such as conversion rates, bounce rates, and user engagement. Regularly update stakeholders on the progress and outcomes of design projects, highlighting successes and identifying areas for further improvement. Develop and maintain design performance dashboards that provide visibility into the effectiveness of UI/UX initiatives. Use insights from performance data to continuously refine design approaches and strategies. WHAT YOU WILL NEED

EDUCATION/EXPERTISE:

Bachelor's degree required in Graphic Design, Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing web and landing page designs that drive conversions. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch), HTML, CSS, user testing tools, and A/B testing platforms. JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/ETC:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, Sketch, or similar software. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles to ensure designs are both visually appealing and functional. Experience with user testing tools (e.g., UserTesting, Hotjar) and A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Google Optimize) to gather insights and drive design decisions. Familiarity with front-end development basics to effectively collaborate with developers and ensure accurate implementation of designs. Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts and user flows. Creative & Analytical Skills:

Strong creative skills, with a proven ability to produce visually engaging and impactful designs that enhance user experience and support marketing objectives. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret user data and feedback to inform design decisions and optimize digital assets. Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, with a focus on creating designs that drive conversions. Ability to balance creativity with practicality, producing designs that are both innovative and achievable within technical constraints. Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all designs are polished, consistent, and aligned with brand standards. Personal Skills:

Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk. Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium weight up to twelve (12) pounds and/or exert up to twelve (12) pounds of force.
