What you'll do in this role:Provide consistent professional music therapy in accordance with company protocols and accepted certification practicesEffectively inform and educate our patients, staff, and facility partners about music therapyEstablish therapy objectives as part of the patient assessmentPlan, review, and assess therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness and to aid in the planning of subsequent sessionsTake an active role in sessions by playing instruments, singing, and listeningEncourage patients to take part in the session and support them by responding musically and improvising with music as a reaction to what the client is communicating to give comfort during the last stages of lifeSupport the patient's creative development and facilitate positive changes in their behavior and well-beingWe are looking for compassionate Hospice Music Therapist with:Bachelor of Music Therapy degreeCurrent Board certified (MT-BC) credential according to U. S. Certification Board for Music TherapistsState music therapy licensing where requiredAt least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric health careAt least six (6) months of work /education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness health careQuestions?
