W2 Communications, an integrated marketing and strategic communications firm, is hiring a mid-level, creative public relations Account Supervisor with experience in the enterprise technology and cybersecurity industry. Successful candidates have a passion for turning complex technology concepts into relatable stories and content that elevate clients brands by leveraging an integrated set of media relations and content development skillsets.

The ideal candidate is innately curious about how cybersecurity and broader technology marketplaces operate and serve customers and has prior experience leveraging media relations and content develop to support brands in these markets.

This position plays an integral role in the firms strategic public relations, social media and content creation offerings. In addition, this role works across and coordinates with our digital marketing and creative services teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing implementation of strategic communications initiatives, including media relations and content placement
  • Continuous research and reading of relevant publications and topics to stay abreast of cybersecurity news and trends
  • Supporting leadership with client media strategy, metrics, and reporting
  • Primary client liaison, providing strategic counsel
  • Providing oversight for all public relations activities
  • Creating/refining external messaging and executive positioning assets
  • Collaborating with senior team members on day-to-day account activities
  • Supporting new business initiatives
  • Mentoring and managing junior team members

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience (3-7 years) in public relations, corporate communications.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the technology/cybersecurity industry
  • Experience crafting, pitching and placing stories and content in external tech, cybersecurity and business publications/outlets
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately (both independently and with a team) in a fast-paced environment, while exhibiting patience, diplomacy and maintaining a sense of humor
  • Proactive and detail-oriented
