Description The Senior Technical SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Strategist is responsible for maximizing search engine rankings for Adorama.com category & product/listing and landing pages, as well as increasing the overall volume of organic traffic, conversions, and revenue from search engines to the Adorama Website & Blog. The Sr. Technical SEO Strategist leverages data analytics to develop and deploy effective search strategies aligned with business objectives. Due to the dynamic environment produced by constant changes to search algorithms, the SEO Strategist continuously learns, tweaks skills, and experiments to develop working methodologies. They will take the necessary steps to stay on top of the latest trends and shifts in the industry. Essential Responsibilities: Develop a viable/robust SEO Roadmap based on SEO best practices and data analytics that aligns with business goals. Work with our agency to conduct regular Technical and On-Page SEO audits to determine opportunities and identify areas for improvement as well as crawl, indexability, and technical website health issues. Monitor and set up a maintenance/alert system for when things break or are underperforming (crawlability, site structure/technical, speed, XML Sitemaps, canonical tags, metadata, redirects, etc.). Prioritize projects, initiatives, and areas of focus (both internally and with our agency) based on data analysis and track progress and results over time. Request appropriate content and/or refresh existing content to support search engine ranking needs. Request additions and/or modifications to existing webpages as needed. Develop and implement link building and interlinking strategies. Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Social, Buying, Categorization, etc.) to support SEO-related initiatives. Provide guidance on website projects/initiatives to ensure compliance with SEO strategy and best practices. Work with our agency to analyze website structure, link architecture, and on page elements to identify and execute on optimization opportunities. Collaborate with the development teams to fix technical issues and ensure best practices are adhered to. Qualifications: 5 years of experience in technical SEO, with a proven track record of success in an e-commerce environment. Proven experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs. Familiarity with programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and their impact on SEO. Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking, indexing, and crawling. Understanding of structured data markup & page schema. Comprehensive knowledge of SEO project management, encompassing on-page, off-site, and content strategies. Experience with data analytics and ability to interpret website traffic trends to optimize SEO strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical SEO concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Performance Indicators: Increase in organic search traffic, orders & revenue. Improvement in search engine rankings for targeted keywords. Growth in the number of high-quality backlinks. Enhancement of click-through rates from search engine results pages. Improved rankings and increased revenue from product listings Impact: Direct contribution to the company's online visibility and brand awareness. Influence on customer engagement, sales and lead generation through effective SEO practices. Support the company's mission by aligning SEO strategies with business objectives. This role requires three on-site days weekly to ensure in-person collaboration, improved communication, effective teamwork, and real-time problem solving to enhance team synergy and productivity. A standard 40-hour work week is expected. The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $150,000. The rate will be determined based on overall skills and experience.
