Technical Writer
The Opportunity:

As a Te chn ical Writer, you know that every program relies on well-written documentation to work. What if you could use your expertise and process improvement experience towards developing processes and tools to support the Department of Defense ( DoD ) and its most important Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance ( ISR ) missions? You have a clear understanding of te chn ical writing and know how an end-to-end understanding can improve the mission. We need your skills to help understand and communicate system elements and ensure long-lasting integration and sustainment.

As a Te chn ical Writer on our team, you'll help transform ISR capabilities by supporting sustainment planning and engineering of a critical weapon system into an integrated and secured Cloud-enabled architecture, with leading-edge te chn ologies for specific work aligned to Planning, Engineering, Enterprise Services, Cyber, and Cloud capability areas.

You Have:

  • Knowledge of multiple writing style guides and requirements, and using Micro sof t Office Suite products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to perform reviews and assure the quality of all written deliverables in support of a wide range of customer requirements
  • Ability to ensure the production of clear documents that guide and educate the reader, and apply expertise in client delivery process, tradecraft, and intelligence standards
  • Secret clearance
  • Asso cia te's degree and 5+ years of experience in te chn ical writing, Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in technical writing, or 7+ years of experience in te chn ical writing in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience recommending and developing a variety of te chn ical documentation based on client needs
  • Knowledge of Air Force and DoD requirements for manuals and written materials
  • Ability to communicate te chn ical information to non-te chn ical audiences
  • Level II Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act ( DAWIA ) Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $42,700.00 to $87,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
