The Database Report Writer will assist one or more business teams in using software and scripting, including SQL to generate internal and client-facing metrics and design custom reports and summaries to support research, management, and client needs. This person will gather and verify specifications, then design deliverables while maintaining a high standard of detail and accuracy. Duties related to this role are as follows: Gain an understanding of the industries and markets in which we operate, to better address the reporting needs of internal and external users. Master the database tables, structure, elements, and relationships to combine multiple sources into a refined report output. Utilize PL/SQL and Oracle to create complex queries, summaries, tables, and outputs. Use Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other applications to design and automate continued report generation and updating. Verify the accuracy and validity of reports; correct any errors. Collaborate with other colleagues in multiple departments including accounting, human resources, IT, Research, and Sales while developing reports. Utilize CRM to request, respond, and maintain detailed documentation for new report development and ongoing annual maintenance agreements. Respond to customer inquiries and data requests while maintaining accurate records of customer comments, requests, and interactions. Support immediate-need requests from users via email, in person, instant message, and web conferences, and respond within the outlined deadline. Responsible for the processing of some scheduled weekly and monthly tasks that may involve manual manipulation of elements, prior to delivery. May be required to present reports or analysis at client meetings, company hosted seminars, or trade-shows. Job Qualifications: Experience 0-2 years of related experience is strongly preferred.
