Do you dream of planning programs that not only get people talking but make a lasting impact? Are you a pro at juggling schedules, brainstorming creative ideas, and turning big plans into seamless execution? We’re searching for a Community Engagement Intern who’s ready to bring energy, creativity, and organization to the Twin Ports. In this role, you’ll not only plan and execute events that connect with our community, but you’ll also play a key part in developing SCCU’s Kids Club—a brand-new initiative designed to inspire financial literacy and foster lifelong relationships with young members.

About You:

• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a lot of moving pieces. Variety is your jam and you love doing something different every day
• You are eager to plan A+ events, are extremely organized, and can manage multiple moving pieces of event coordination at once
• Know how to build relationships with anyone – from school districts to breweries, and everything in between
• You Dare to care – you actually want to make a difference in your communities and are up for the challenge
• You prefer being out and about rather than behind a computer
• Are excited by the prospect of taking a project from idea to fruition

What you will do:

• Assist in planning and executing community events that align with SCCU’s mission and make a meaningful impact
• Represent SCCU with enthusiasm and professionalism at community events, becoming the friendly and approachable face of our organization
• Support the creation and launch of SCCU’s Kids Club by designing fun, educational activities and coordinating in-branch events like crafts and financial literacy sessions
• Help identify and build partnerships with local organizations, schools, and events to expand SCCU’s presence in the community
• Create engaging content for SCCU’s social media that highlights your work and promotes SCCU’s community involvement
• Participate in monthly development sessions with other SCCU interns on topics like leadership, career planning, professional communication, and more

Internship Details:

• All ages and majors welcome
• Spring or Summer Internship
• A minimum commitment of 12 weeks, with priority given to students interested in extending their time with SCCU
• Flexible schedule to work around school & extra curriculars
• 10-30 hours per week
• Paid at $15/hour
• Must be located in the Twin Ports
• Hybrid work environment with a mix of remote tasks and in-person experiences, including attending and supporting events in SCCU market areas
