The Schaumburg Boomers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated students to be a part of the 2025 season. As an intern, you will obtain first-hand experience in the entire operation of a successful professional baseball franchise. A promotion/merchandising intern would primarily be focused on ensuring the Boomers fans have a wonderful experience by providing exciting & engaging promotions throughout the season via on-field games, theme nights, customer service, community outreach, and other opportunities.

Every day is different with the boomers, but a typical day might include:
  • Represent the Schaumburg Boomers organization, partners, and sponsors with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm at all times
  • Display outstanding teamwork, communication skills, and an energetic personality
  • Planning and executing all aspects of promotions
    • Theme nights, on-field entertainment, production, and more
  • Assisting with the creation of in-game entertainment, especially pertaining to theme nights
  • Willing to put yourself out there
    • Dancing, cheering, engaging with the crowd
  • Assisting with production setup for each game
    • PA scripts, video board, music, etc
  • Ensuring the team store is presentable for each game
    • Stocking, cleaning, inventory, etc
  • Attending various community events/parades
  • Help with the day-to-day function of the organization. You may be asked to do several tasks; it's part of the all-inclusive experience!
You're a good fit if you:
  • Are currently attending college
  • Are able to work all 48 home games and additional off-site events
  • Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
  • Have the ability to adapt to a fact-paced, multi-task work environment
  • Have superior oral communication. Writing and editing skills
  • Are highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Strong desire to work in a team environment
