Internship Opportunities with The Charleston RiverDogs

The Charleston RiverDogs are excited to offer a comprehensive range of internships for the 2025 season, providing valuable experience and insight into the operations of a minor league baseball team. Our paid internship program is designed to provide real-world experience and comprehensive training in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, running from approximately March through September, 2025. These positions are designed to immerse interns in the full scope of running a professional sports organization. College credit is preferred, and exceptional interns may be considered for future full-time roles.

About The RiverDogs: Renowned nationally for innovative promotions, unique food offerings, and superior customer service, The Charleston RiverDogs are leaders in professional sports entertainment. Our mission is to deliver a memorable and engaging experience to our diverse fanbase at each of our more than 60 baseball home games as well at various entertainment events at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in historic Charleston, South Carolina.

Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creativity and a passion for live events and fan engagement.
  • Flexibility availability, including nights and weekends.
  • Experience in event coordination is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of on-field promotions and in-game entertainment.
  • Supporting the promotions team in developing new and exciting activities to enhance the fan experience.
  • Helping manage mascot and performer scheduling and interactions.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions for theme nights and special events.
  • Ensuring promotional materials and equipment are prepared and organized for game days.
  • Interacting with fans to promote a fun and engaging environment.
  • Ensuring legal compliance and proper documentation handling.
