Location:
Superintendent`s Office This individual reports directly to the Executive Director and will play a meaningful role in the start-up of a new education foundation for the district. Scope of work entails far more than position description reads.
Description:
Ability to identify and develop viable proposals for external funding of programs which address
educational priorities and goals. Knowledge of grant writing practices and procedures. Skill in
research, synthesis of information, writing and editing to develop successful proposals for
external funding sources/grants. Ability to manage projects including developing/administering
budgets. Skill in planning, organizing, and presenting information in a public forum. Knowledge
of federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and School board policies applicable to
assigned responsibilities. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to use
technology to support assigned duties. Technical knowledge specific to assigned area. Ability to
work cooperatively with others. Knowledge of Florida Educator Accomplished Practices and
Teacher Competencies.
Job Summary:
To provide leadership, supervision and assistance in the development, interpretation
and evaluation of supplemental grants and external funding sources to further support
the District's Strategic Plan and educational priorities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution in education, management,
or public administration.
2. Valid Florida certification in an appropriate area.
3. Five (5) years successful experience in education and/or grant writing/grant
development.
4. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.
