Communications Manager

In collaboration with senior leadership, this role will manage the Communications teams efforts to develop, manage, and share the Arnold Palmer legacy for and on behalf of all the entities/divisions "under the umbrella." Role will oversee the execution of the legacy "story" and its integration into the entirety of the Arnold Palmer ecosystem, corporate communications (internal and external), brand strategy (including research, positioning, messaging, and audience identification), and is responsible for creating awareness through all communications channels (internal and external).

Primary responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
- Manage the effective execution of all communications projects - high quality, on budget and on time, and according to the agreed priority initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate multiple creative projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively. Provide timely updates on project progress and team performance to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive annual communication plans, including targets and metrics.
- Lead the Communications team to craft messaging and positioning in the philanthropic, commercial, and event markets regarding Arnold Palmer's legacy.
- Manage the communication team's execution of all storytelling/branding, public relations, marketing, and communication strategies.
- Supervise the creation of assets across all channels and media, including video, digital, print, event, emerging technology and more.
- Assist in directing outside partners to ensure storytelling/brand protocols, communications, public relations and creative contractual stipulations and initiatives are being met.
- Develop in coordination with the AP Group leadership team any brand messaging and strategies across all Palmer channels to be incorporated as described above and with outreach, and other needs, both ongoing and for limited efforts (i.e., seasonal campaigns, membership drives, etc.).
- Provide direction for ecosystem communication with content creation, presentation materials and philanthropic/commercial family messaging.
- Actively manage direct reports-providing support, constructive coaching, and guidance that enables them to meet their full potential.
Qualifications and Characteristics Required
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5-10 years leading teams that are responsible for storytelling, communications, marketing, branding, or advertising experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and drive company initiatives, including program and project management and strategy summaries.
- A track record of performance meeting targets and objectives.
- High degree of integrity, ethics, dedication, and optimism; commitment to mission and to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Demonstrated skills creating and leading, storytelling, communications, marketing and brand strategies.
- Ability to express ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, paired with strong listening skills.
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills with ability to gain leadership creditability across the organization to promote effective collaboration.
- Travel required 25% annually.
- Cross-functional expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and highly collaborative environment.

- Must be able to endure long periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Business attire as appropriate.
