We are currently seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist/ Content Creator to join our growing business.

Responsibilities Include:

Strategic Communications Consulting
  • Update and sustain program area strategic communications strategies.
  • Advise program-level leadership teams on strategic communications to improve operational customer and user communications content and business process
  • Advise team members on communications and design best practices.
  • Consult with the Client's Office of communications to ensure proper agency brand alignment requirements for public-facing programs.
  • Advise leadership on suitable communications tools and techniques for engaging stakeholders (e.g., email marketing, digital newsletters, forums, wikis, social media, etc.)

Content Creation
  • Write and edit clear and compelling messaging for internal, program-level initiatives as well as customer- and public-facing materials including but not limited to emails, web, flyers, infographics, and strategic plans.
  • Design brand consistent visual content such as custom graphics, infographics, logos, icons, and document layouts and templates in the following programs: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Canva.
  • Create custom videos and motion graphics in the following programs: Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects.

Style and Branding Application
  • Establish/adhere to style and format guidelines for written and designed materials, including briefing slides and documents, digital and print marketing materials, and web content.

Knowledge Management
  • Design and implement communications content knowledge management solution that ensures any staff member can locate, re-use and update briefing content on demand
  • Develop and execute content management plan/structure for program office SharePoint sites and shared drive folders

Training
  • Develop and deliver program-wide training programs on how to plan, craft and edit polished, brand responsive, and engaging communications. This training should emphasize strategic communications/public relations best practices and how to design communications against a planned outcome or objective.
  • Consult and coach project teams and individual employees to raise organization-wide performance on communications materials


Qualifications

Experience Required:
  • 5-7 years of experience engaged in communications projects and consulting
  • 2 or more years of experience as a content creator (design and/or video)
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences (orally and in written form)
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across organizational barriers to accomplish high priority and high visibility goals
  • Mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word to create highly customized slides and documents.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a billable client environment.
  • Knowledge of federal government human capital and/or management practices
  • People and/or project management skills
  • Related professional certification
  • Current security clearance

Pay Range: $90,000 - 130,000 commensurate with experience
