Runner Music is looking for a Director, Corporate Development to join our team in New York. As the Director, Corporate Development you will focus on managing acquisitions end-to-end including developing research, models and opinions that inform the Companies decisions on proposed investments.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Review financial information provided by sellers and create historical income trend models and identify anomalies in historical earnings.
- Perform due diligence procedures including confirming historical earnings to 3rd party source documents and documenting procedures performed along with findings and conclusions.
- Prepare valuation models including earnings forecasts based on song history and likelihood of enduring value.
- Negotiate letters of intent and definitive transaction documents alongside internal and external legal counsel.
- Liaise with sellers to update due diligence information and track all outstanding requests.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including legal, administration, etc. to negotiate definitive agreements and ensure necessary information is gathered during the diligence process.
- Lead on-boarding/integration of newly acquired assets with subsequent departments including verification that all information required to administer, account for, and exploit the newly acquired assets has been received.
- Regular checks and ongoing analysis on the performance of the acquired assets vs. forecast.
- Research and update key valuation assumptions, e.g. decay rates, values of charting hits, etc.
- Maintain a strong understanding and knowledge of pop culture, developments in the rights management space, key players in the industry, etc.
- Assist with analysis on Runner's Frontline Publishing business.
- Other activities and special project as assigned.
What Makes You Qualified:
- Involved in analyzing media/IP acquisitions for 3+ years, preferably in music publishing, television, or other media.
- Deep financial modeling and analysis experience in the context of acquisitions.
- Research experience and a strong knowledge of popular media, preferably music publishing and/or television.
- Strong web research skills.
- Experience working with a team, comfortable communicating positions and defending or questioning assumptions.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Effective verbal/written communication skills.
- High proficiency with Excel and modeling skills.
- Comfortable with and proven ability to embrace and learn new IT tools and technologies quickly and efficiently.
- Able to effectively focus, multi-task, self-motivate, organize and prioritize.
- Ability to research potential solutions to problems and make sound recommendations for appropriate action.
