The Graphics, Games & Machine learning team is looking for Engineering Project Manager to help shape our next generation products. You’ll be be responsible to lead planning, execution and communication between several engineering groups at Apple, and helping define/run processes that ensure GPU & Display deliverables for these products are met. This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organization, and technical skills who work well in a fast-paced dynamic environment.DescriptionApple’s Graphics, Games & Machine learning (GGML) group provides the graphics software foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, from iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, to Apple TV, iTunes,Vision and Mac. Join our cross-functional team, focusing on Display and Color technologies which is at the core of designing and implementing solutions for rendering visual media and enhancing visual experience. Examples of technologies that we've developed include High Dynamic Range Video and Images, Media Composition, and Pro Color features such as Display Presets. As the Engineering Project Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: - Drive, own, and ship all aspects of large, cross-functional efforts and feature across HW/SW for - Display and Color technology across Apple’s product ecosystem. - Driving the product development lifecycle ( software and hardware) from concept through launch, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative products. - Partner with engineering & various cross-functional teams to build proven plans to track architecture, design, implementation and validation activities. - Maintaining clear communication and documentation on the program’s status, including risks, schedules, and resources. - Fostering a culture of innovation, leading teams to develop cutting-edge technology and setting the strategic direction for projects at Apple. - Maintain and influence a multi-year roadmap of HW/SW plans for the Display IP. - Strive for continuous improvements and increased efficiency across program management processes.Minimum QualificationsAt least 5 years of Engineering Management/Project Management experienceDemonstrated leadership on cross-functional projects across HW, SW or SiliconUnderstanding or experience of software development and validation of HW or understanding of system level frameworksPreferred QualificationsBS/MS (EE/CS/CE), or a related technical field.Strong technical background, capable of working closely with engineering teams to manage software/hardware integration, performance, and scalability.Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of managing complex cross-team projects and delivering successful results.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving requirements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interest in contributing to Apple's mission to improve the user experience through the power of machine learning.Ability to dive deep on technical topics and abstract the right level of information into an actionable path forward with cross-functional consensus.Demonstrated ability to quickly understand or ramp up on technical concepts in a wide range of fields.Demonstrated ability to provide succinct and accurate executive summaries of complicated situations.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
