Technical Designer

Our famous apparel client is looking for a Technical Designer to join their team supporting Women’s apparel. This will be a 4-month temp engagement onsite with a possible extension. The ideal candidate has technical design experience in wovens, denim, and fleece.
Responsibilities
- Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit.
- Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications.
- Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications.
- Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.
- Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure the integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.
- Patternmaking, diagramming, and understanding fit and balance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical design skills, including patternmaking and diagramming.
- Proficiency in PLM systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of fit, sizing, and grading.
- Experience working with various fabrics, including wovens, denim, and fleece.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40.00 to $43.34 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
