The Sales & Marketing Coordinator (Americas) is responsible for a variety of tasks supporting Lonely Planet's print publishing sales and marketing team. Specifically, this role will provide administrative support and assistance to the team working directly with both our US and Canada-based distributors. This role will also be responsible for implementing paid advertising programs, uploading and maintenance of Amazon A+ content and delivery of various reporting requirements specific to Amazon (US, UK and Australian sites).
What You'll Do:
- For our Amazon partnership you will:
- Manage Amazon Ads program/paid advertising for the US, UK and Australia (in collaboration with various sales managers)
- Upload and maintenance of Amazon A+ content
- Review and report on keyword performance specific to Amazon (for all three primary markets)
- Research and create trend reports
- Work with the global trade marketing team to identify future opportunities and highlight marketing initiatives on the platform
- Liaise and work with US distributor re: Amazon troubleshooting
- For our work with US and Canadian distributors you will:
- Upload/data input of all essential information to support seasonal frontlist sell-ins
- Ordering and dispatch of gratis copies
- Upload and maintenance of cover files
- Uploading of advances and information into Edelweiss
- Researching comp titles prior to each seasonal frontlist presentation
- Delivery of key selling points, marketing and publicity plans and any additional information into distributor systems
- Creation of frontlist "sell sheets"
- Creation of presentation materials to support front list sell-ins and campaign specific projects
- Other
- Assist the PR team with book mailings (including book boxing campaigns)
- Submission of art files and copy to industry publications (e.g. Publisher's Weekly)
- Ad hoc sales and trend reporting, specifically from Bookscan
- Assist with the organisation of trade shows (e.g. ALA, Winter Institute, etc)
- 1- 3 years publishing experience
- Experience in the Amazon ecosystem
- Understanding of the publishing and book retailing industries
- Conversant in industry specific tools (e.g. Edelweiss)
- Confident communicator
- Consultative and curious, with a learning mindset
- Functional in small teams
- Both analytical and creative
- Passionate about travel and travel publishing
- New York City Compensation Range: $50,000 - $72,000
*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
