Summary
The Hazardous Drug Solutions (HDS) team is passionate about protecting healthcare workers globally by providing products and technology solutions to enable the safe preparation and administration of hazardous drugs. As the innovator and leader in the space, BD’s portfolio of HDS Products is recognized for their outstanding performance and ease-of-use. The HDS business has global revenue of ~$150M with double-digit growth expectations in the near term. The HDS platform is part of BD’s Medical Delivery Solutions (MDS) business unit, which at >$4B is the largest of BD’s business units.
Responsibilities
The Manager of Global Marketing role will be accountable for driving growth and performance for BD’s global portfolio of Closed System Transfer Devices (CSTDs), including the BD PhaSeal and PhaSeal Optima product portfolios. Responsibilities include driving global revenue, meeting key business objectives, completing market crafting campaigns, evolving current go-to-market tactics, and handling product lifecycle. This complex role offers exposure to a variety of global cultures, a creative outlet to develop commercial marketing content, and the responsibility to lead a product portfolio strategy including:
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, clinical applications and market dynamics in the hazardous drug preparation space with a focus on hospital pharmacy
Establish relationships and work collaboratively with regional teams across the world to drive and accelerate sales efficiency, understand forecasts, and direct effort to have the greatest overall impact on company results
Develop and implement global launch plan to support near-term global launches in key markets including countries in Asia and Europe
Make recommendations to senior leaders on product lifecycle management strategies in conjunction with budget administration of P+L for product portfolio
Develop, deploy, and measure the impact of marketing campaigns and market shaping activities
Develop creative sales and training materials, collateral, guides, and tutorials as needed
Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities
Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies that engage customers, build awareness and grow revenue
Clearly communicate project value to BD with high level leadership collaborators; provide recommendations on path forward with a strong bias towards financial results, product quality, and customer impact
Establish and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external collaborators, including current and potential customers
Education and experience
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Technical Discipline
MBA/Master’s degree preferred
3+ years of experience in marketing or product management
Medical device industry experience highly preferred
Experience meeting and interacting with customers to uncover insights and build relationships
Experience presenting to leadership, customers and/or sales team members
New product or campaign launch experience (domestic or international)
Nice to Have
Product or portfolio management experience either in marketing or R&D
Experience setting pricing strategies
Product or portfolio management experience
Campaign development and execution
Develop and implement marketing plans
Experience working with customers in Pharmacy or Nursing industries
Competencies
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
Detail oriented
Confirmed ability to “lead without authority” and influence others in a matrixed organization
Able to use sound, independent reasoning and judgment to establish work priorities and identify ways to optimize project timelines and to mitigate project risks/delays.
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of challenging priorities. Confirmed ability to work in high-paced environment and routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while efficiently prioritizing
Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills

Travel
Passport and willing to travel internationally up to 20% of the time, including within the first 3 months of hire.
Schedule
The incumbent needs to be comfortable working with international colleagues located in different time zones.
