This HR Manager will have a dual reporting relationship to the VP, Human Resources - CBS News and the VP, Human Resources - CBS Television Stations.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $85,600.00 - 107,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.

This HR Manager will have a dual reporting relationship to the VP, Human Resources - CBS News and the VP, Human Resources - CBS Television Stations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as intake for employee relations issues and work with the VP's of Human Resources to effectively mediate and resolve workplace conflicts. Support managers' efforts to provide employees with feedback both oral and written; draft/co-author speaking points, development plans, and disciplinary memos. Partner with managers on termination actions. Partner and coordinate with employment law, labor, and our central investigation teams as appropriate; ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices.
- Provide broad recruiting support to News and Television Station leaders with securing hiring approvals, crafting job descriptions, and developing compensation ranges.
- Leverage the broader HR infrastructure/community to solve problems for employees.
- Handle employee onboarding.
- For CBS Television Stations, manage the FCC EEO obligations and initiatives; prepare and maintain FCC EEO processes and reports.
- Support team with ad hoc projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 7 years of HR experience meeting employee and client needs including employee investigations
- Foundation of Employment Law - ADA, Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, hostile work environment
- Experience working in and successfully navigating a highly matrixed, fast-paced, ever-changing, 24/7 environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Highly responsive, client-focused professional who works well in a team environment
- Exceptional critical thinking, initiative, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Outstanding communication (written and oral) skills and ability to communicate with all levels of staff
- Proven ability to exhibit professional maturity, handle extremely confidential information, act with integrity, and use discretion
- Familiarity with unions
- Extremely flexible and composed individual who builds trust and instills confidence
- Ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a time-sensitive environment
- Naturally curious, self-starter; able to work and seek out answers/resources independently
- Passionate about learning and delivering innovative, transformational HR support
- Experience with HR information systems and reporting software. Ability to analyze data and gather insights
- Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint
