Overview: Director, Marketing Science
As the Director, Marketing Science you will lead all media insights and analytics to demonstrate the business value of marketing and media investments. Your team will include highly skilled analytics and data science team members, and you will sit at the intersection of research, analytics, strategy and performance.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Qualifications:
- Relevant post-secondary education, training, or equivalent experience
- Experience at a media agency, client, marketing analytics firm, or in a quantitative, data-driven field
- 5+ years leading and developing a strong analytics and/or data science team
- Experience with marketing mix modeling/econometric analysis and/or other branches of market research (custom survey research, advertising testing or tracking, new product research, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with syndicated research sources/tools (e.g. ComScore, Nielsen, etc.)
- Familiarity with marketing technology (e.g. Data Management Platforms), ad-serving (e.g. Google DCM), and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
- Client Management: Strong ability to discover, interpret, and respond to client needs.
- Experience with API Integrations/S3
Experience:
- Experience at a media agency, client, marketing analytics firm, or in a quantitative, data-driven field
- 8-10+ years leading and developing a strong analytics and/or data science team

Responsibilities:
- Operate as a Marketing Science subject matter expert within the organization to ensure teams and processes are operating at a high standard, employing best practice, and maintaining expertise
- Translate data into clear, compelling, and actionable insights by leveraging advanced analytics
- Develop clear narratives that tie insights to strategy
- Drive data led audience development to help clients and business partners alike develop and activate new opportunities across platforms and channels
- Work closely with strategy and activation to ideate on innovation and the development of new analytic approaches and implementation
- Collaborate with marketing partners and strategy teams to understand business and marketing objectives and develop analytics approaches to meet those objectives
- Present to clients, with the support of the functional specialists, the results of analyses and research projects in a clear and insightful narrative.
- Lead understanding of consumer and marketplace behaviors, particularly those that most impact business and marketing goals
- With the leaders of the functional specialty teams, keep track of projects being run by the Functional Specialists to ensure they are done on time and to right level of quality
- Evaluate data and research/analytics vendors for client needs or as they approach clients
- Work hand in hand with Marketing Technology partners to develop and test cookieless activation and measurement solutions
- Work with third party research/analytics vendors to design and set up projects for clients
- Work with and manage an off-shore analytics group
- Assist with new business development ideas
- Foster a culture of continual learning, ensuring direct team members feel strong leadership support, a respective environment, challenged and on the edge of performance media practices
- Lead team utilization of Omni, in order to effectively leverage our people-based marketing platform to drive targeted audience activation, develop creative channel planning ideas, analyze digital content inventory, and contribute to the overall success of our marketing efforts.
