Job Summary:
The Director of Marketing and Communication is responsible for creating and implementing the marketing and communication strategy on a global level. The chosen candidate will be in charge of developing the marketing plan that includes brand messaging, digital marketing, lead generation, and social media messaging. This role will also be responsible for managing the marketing budget and ensuring a return on investment. Additionally, this position will oversee the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies, which includes managing external communication channels such as social media platforms, company websites, media relations, and other internal company communications.
This position is part of the Executive Leadership team and reports to the President of Supply Technologies.

MARKETING/BRAND MANAGEMENT (50%)
- Develop an annual and long-term global marketing plan that includes positioning and go-to-market strategies.
- Work closely with the VP of Sales and Managing Director, International to ensure that our marketing plan is driving leads for our sales teams, and our value proposition is resonating with end customers.
- Strong understanding of our competitors and their go-to-market strategies.
- Deploy successful marketing campaigns and take ownership of their implementation from ideation to execution.
- Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels such as content creation, curation, pay-per-click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, and performance analysis.
- Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups. Build strategic relationships and partners with key industry players, agencies, and vendors.
COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT (50%)
- Develop an encompassing communication strategy that includes the following components: - Communication techniques such as email, start-up notes, planning meetings, monitors, emergency notifications, and other transmission methods; the timing of routine and ad hoc communications; and formats.
- Collaborate with Senior Management to establish effective internal communication within branches.
- Collaborate with Corporate Senior Leadership Management to facilitate company-wide communication, including incoming correspondence to branches, outgoing communication to the corporate office, Town Hall meetings, and updates from the President's office.
- Establish an email distribution system within facilities.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and effective communication of organizational company initiatives to appropriate stakeholders to increase organizational efficiency.
- Develop communication for various internal communication mediums, including email broadcasts, information boards, and electronic displays.
- Develop an annual communication calendar and obtain leadership team support.
- Advise senior leadership of developments and opportunities resulting from communications throughout organizations.
- Work with the Senior Director of Human Resources to ensure internal communication plans promote employee engagement.
Must have:
- Active listening skills - the capability to listen to others attentively, extract essential communication details, and accurately articulate the intended message.
- Exceptional writing skills - proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Strong interpersonal skills - the aptitude to build solid relationships that facilitate effective communication and interaction with both the Branches and the corporate office.
- Ability to establish rapport with others through a professional demeanor, patience, tact, and a customer service mindset.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook software.
- Excellent speaking skills - the ability to deliver presentations to staff and corporate business partners.
- Outstanding presentation development, delivery, and facilitation skills.
- Strong social media communication and marketing skills.
Preferred skills and experience:
- BS/BA degree preferred in Communications or Business degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in communication, marketing, and engagement within a large organization.
