Senior Editor, Branded Content

Bustle Digital Group is seeking a Senior Branded Editor to join our New York City team and work alongside fellow creatives at our in-house creative agency, BDG Studios.

BDG Studios partners with advertisers to create 360-degree campaigns featuring engaging content and curated moments - all backed by the cultural insights and authority of our editorial team's trusted digital brands.

From pitch phase to execution, you'll work with strategists, creatives, and producers to connect each of BDG's titles with advertiser objectives, ensuring all content remains on strategy, on brand, and premium in quality.

Ideal candidates should have a firm grasp on each title's editorial voice and be able to work across multiple teams to vet creative concepts and communicate them to clients. You'll have the creative latitude to manage branded content from start to finish. No task will be too big or too small, whether you're editing articles on site, working with influencers on TikTok programs, or rolling up your sleeves on photo and video shoots.

Responsibilities
    • Brainstorm creative concepts in response to RFPs, working cross-functionally with other teams and partners (including but not limited to design, talent, video, sales planning, and marketing).
    • Communicate with sales and marketing to ensure that creative concepts are clear, relevant, and realistic given timing and budget requirements.
    • Oversee campaign execution to completion, including but not limited to:
    • -Writing and editing stories.-Writing copy for social programs and newsletters.-Briefing creator talent on social videos.-Assisting on photo and video shoots.-Ensuring client expectations and deadlines are met.
    • Keep up with social media, influencer, and content marketing trends across a diverse array of advertiser content categories: fashion, luxury, retail, beauty, wellness, lifestyle, parenting, travel, food, tech, auto, and finance.


Requirements
    • 6-8+ years of experience in branded content, social, and/or brand partnerships at a digital publisher, agency, or PR firm.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to self-edit and adapt to a variety of clients, tones, and audiences.
    • Excellent, clear, prompt communication skills across both internal and external teams.
    • Team- and solutions-oriented attitude and along with strong interpersonal skills - you should be able to communicate across teams to find solutions whenever possible.
    • Proven ability to juggle multiple campaigns and initiatives at once.
    • Experience and confidence in a client-facing environment.
    • Experience with shooting/editing social content is a plus.
    • Experience being on-camera talent is also a plus.
    • Must be able to work East Coast hours, during regular business hours, and occasionally be on set-arriving on time and staying for the duration of the production. Role can be done remotely, but must be able to work from the NYC office with advance notice from your manager.


$88,000 - $90,000 a year
