Marketing Manager Job Description

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Marketing manager to join our team to work onsite at The Last Refuge. The Marketing manager will be responsible for concepting and executing marketing initiatives to drive awareness and revenue for our Bar & Restaurant. This position will report directly to the General Manager and Regional Director. The ideal candidate is a creative, driven, self-starter with the ability to work in a high-paced environment.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive traffic to the restaurant through concepting and executing dynamic marketing plans inclusive of advertising, email campaigns, website features, local events, programming, and sponsorships
  • Manage organic social media accounts. Paid search and paid social. Collect and create content, oversee content calendars, connect with influencers, and interact with the community on social platforms to drive followers and engagement. Press release writing and pitching.
  • Support property marketing and promotions with copywriting and design for simple promotional materials such as e-blasts, flyers, and create print digital design collateral. Oversee bigger design projects with outside graphic design agencies.
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Able to travel 25% of the time as needed to support hotel and restaurant events and meetings with the team
JOB FIT

You're a storyteller. At its core, marketing is all about telling the right story for the right audience at the right time. You love crafting communications that vary by platform and audience. If you are not comfortable copywriting, taking photos for social, or doing simple design in Canva, this isn't the role for you.

You're organized and appreciate a good color code system. This job is similar to working at an ad agency as you will have multiple clients/properties to manage. You must be organized, have great attention to detail, and strong follow-thru. You are self-motivated and proactive. If you need someone to micromanage your daily tasks, this isn't a fit for you.

You're a team player and know how to be scrappy. In the hospitality industry, we have a service-first mindset, which extends to everyone we work with. We all do what it takes to support our shared goals. You are flexible and willing to lead or support any new or unfamiliar tasks. If you are not open to learning new skills or taking on other tasks, this position is not for you.

You are creative and like trying new things. You are curious about culture and stay on top of and ahead of the trends to get new ideas. Our team creates an environment that allows us to be creative by understanding that it's ok to fail fast if we can learn faster. If you don't like ideating, then you won't be able to succeed here.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Canva, social media management platforms (Falcon, Sprout, Hootsuite, etc), WordPress, email platform (i.e. Mailchimp), Google Ads, Google Analytics, is a plus
