An effective Grant Writer is highly motivated and takes initiative to seek out new funding leads. The Grant Writer will develop and be responsible for securing funding for various community-focused initiatives and projects for the FirstLight Federal Credit Union and FirstLight Community Foundation or as assigned by management. Under the direction of the Community Engagement Manager, the Grant Writer will research and analyze funding opportunities, develop, prepare, submit compelling grant proposals, oversee, and fulfill grant reporting requirements and monitor/track activities.

Job Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Associates -or- 3 years' experience in Grant Writing in lieu of associate degree.

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience with grant writing, administration and implementing of grants, preferably within financial services or non-profit sector.
