BASIC PURPOSE
The Communications Project Manager will oversee and manage a variety of communications projects from conception through to completion. The Project Manager will have a strong background in project management and communications, with the ability to coordinate and direct project teams, create comprehensive communications plans, and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as task manager across multiple communication projects.
- Ensure tasks and projects meet internal and external deadlines. Manage and track deliverables and deadlines using project management tools.
- Support the development of communication products, including website site content, newsletters, fact sheets, presentations, and reports.
- Develop an understanding of the project's scope and ensure the business unit and communications team are on the same page.
- Identify and resolve or mitigate areas needing clarification, project dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Be a proactive self-starter, working independently to move projects and tasks forward to completion.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to schedule meetings.
- Offer logistics support for client meetings, webinars, speaking engagement, and other ad-hoc activities.
- Draft initial agendas, briefings, presentations, and other communications tools
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or public relations
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on communications and/or marketing projects.
- Experience in content creation and digital marketing.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification required.
- A demonstrated understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, and run team meetings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
