Description Amazon’s Cross Channel Marketing Team (XCM) is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Media Operations Manager to support our paid media and social operations. The primary function of this role is to understand the needs of our cross-channel media managers and in-house activation team to provide operational solutions that enable these teams to deliver world-class, integrated ad campaigns. This role will be auditing current processes, revising, developing, and evolving workflows as needed, based on expanding priorities and global scale. They will partner across functions to roadmap our tooling solutions to improve our project management mechanisms and reporting capabilities. They will help manage existing vendor relations with tech partners and global media agency teams and scope out new tools or mechanisms for increased operational efficiency. This Media Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in access management and governance of key marketing assets for across social media platforms and DSP platforms for XCM and more widely across Amazon. They will be part of an innovative team focused on delivering results across a wide range of businesses and categories. They will support a team responsible for our end-to-end global media processes as we scale our operational capabilities. Key job responsibilities • Analyzes, plans and implements short and long-term operational process improvements. • Supports Amazon stakeholders with social handle creation and user access management. • Identifies process gaps and inefficiencies. Communicates to stakeholders and updates workflows to address those needs in a timely manner. • Contract support/management for tech partners • Develops metrics and measures performance against process requirements, aligning improvement projects to close performance shortfalls and identify future improvement opportunities. Collects data to identify root cause problems. • Researches, recommends and builds processes to aid in the translation of business objectives into functional requirements and solution design. • Surveys and analyzes best practices across Amazon and external teams. Supports pilot projects and internal case studies for trial usage improvement methods or approaches • Develop process documentation and operating instructions to internal and external stakeholders. • Develop training guides and learning videos to distribute globally at scale. • Partner with product tech teams to drive automation across the workflow process Basic Qualifications Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams 3-5+ years of experience in a media or marketing operations role Passion for mechanisms, problem solving and streamlining workflows Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a bias towards data-led decision making Comfortable presenting to stakeholders with verbal and written communication Ability to thrive in ambiguity, solve complex problems, and scale solutions effectively across an organization A proven track record of inventing and simplifying in cross-functional capacities Preferred Qualifications Major media agency or client-side paid media experience highly desirable, ideally working with global stakeholders Experience with Social Media Application administration including page/handle creation, ad account and user management. An understanding of billing processes from PO management to invoice reconciliation and accruals Certification/Proficiency in Social Management Platforms like Sprinklr or Smartly Certification/proficiency in Smartsheet Six Sigma Certification or Agile certification Project/Program management certification (PMP, CAPM, CSM, etc) Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
