Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a talented User Experience (UX) Designer to join a growing team creating pleasing solutions to complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

In this role, you will join a team that works across programs and divisions as the voice of the user designing solutions for a variety of products. You will use your skills to conduct user research, perform Heuristic Evaluations, ideate based on findings, design wireframes, build clickable prototypes, collaborate with developers, and grow in your skills and confidence as a UX practitioner. You will be responsible for day-to-day tasks working with the development teams to understand requirements and convey how UX research and designs achieve those requirements. You will communicate findings, design recommendations, status, and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. The team is a small rapidly growing group of professionals with years of experience who expects hard challenges and exceptional results.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in User Experience, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or another related field
  • Minimum of 2+ years of applicable experience or less than 2 years with MS degree
  • Portfolio showcasing the UX process
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly
  • Ability to identify project requirements and map them to the UX process
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Desire to learn through curiosity, asking questions, and receiving feedback
  • Passion for user centered problem solving
  • Expectation for collaboration, critique, and refinement
  • Proficiency in at least one industry standard design tool (Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Sketch, etc)
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
  • Resident of the Lawton ,OK area or willing to relocate the area

  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher)

  • Military background or DoD work history, especially with UAS or CUAS

Pay Range: Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00
