Motion Graphics Animator

Jane Street, New York, NY

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced animator to join our growing video production team. In this role, you will design and incorporate captivating animations into all aspects of our creative work, bringing abstract concepts to life with dimensional visual elements.

You'll work on a variety of both internally- and externally-facing video projects, but also collaborate with designers and developers on assets for things like web pages, event displays, and more. We're looking for someone with a no-job-too-small attitude who is excited about all types of projects - from intricate video animations with hidden puzzle elements to motion graphics that demonstrate mathematical data.

You'll be responsible for managing projects from idea to execution, ensuring animations are graphically consistent with the rest of our brand. Given the intellectual type of work that Jane Street does, we're looking for an animator who can think conceptually and take complex and often technical ideas and transform them into something visually beautiful.

The right candidate will be able to lean on both their strong technical and communication skills to create high-quality graphics and animated content. You'll collaborate daily with not only other creatives like designers, web developers, and video editors, but with subject matter experts across the firm to make sure each animation hits the mark. You should be willing to step into any conversation eager to learn and ask targeted questions to take your designs to the next level.

This position sits within our Creative Engagement team, a close-knit and nimble group that continues to grow alongside the firm. You will jump right into a variety of projects with little red tape and a quick feedback loop - an environment that really lets the creative process shine.

A portfolio of work is required to apply.
