CFS has partnered with a local non-profit to help identify their new Accounting Manager/Controller. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for analysis and reliability of the operating procedures for all programs and financial systems, financial reporting, and the general ledger. This person will also be responsible for managing and assisting in Human Resources related activities. About the company: The non-profit organization has been in existence for 100+ years. Strong benefits package. High visibility role - this position reports directly to the Executive Director. Responsibilities: Day to day hands-on accounting functions. Production and utilization of monthly operating reports. Prepare, analyze and distribute funds; cash, aged AP and AR bi-monthly. Monthly account analysis including reconciliation of all bank accounts. Record all monthly adjusting entries in preparation for monthly close including standard recurring entries, adjustments and corrections and fund transfers. Assessment and improvement of internal controls. Drive and manage accounts receivables. Daily recording of cash activity into the ERP system. Oversee and support processing of accounts payable. Annual issuance of 1099 reporting, including maintaining current knowledge of changes in reporting requirements. Record fixed assets additions as necessary and depreciation expense annually. Manage payroll processing. Benefits management. Manage year end close and audit. Supervise, collaborate and mentor Bookkeeper Drives annual budget process. Record fixed assets and provide reports on additions and depreciations. Desired Qualifications: 5+ years of management, accounting, audit and systems experience out of a non-profit organization. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. Masters degree or CPA preferred. Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and computerized accounting systems. Knowledge of Financial Edge (Blackbaud) and ShulCloud a plus. This position is full-time onsite (flexibility as needed), offering up to $120,000 depending on experience.
