Senior Marketing Coordinator - Nashville
The Senior Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the marketing, business development, sponsorship, and events initiatives in the Greater Nashville market.
The Senior Coordinator will have a high level of proficiency in both strategic planning and hands-on tactical execution. The Senior Coordinator is an important member of our business development and marketing team and will work closely with the Chief Business Development Officer, firm leaders, attorneys, department directors, and colleagues to expand the firm's client base and profile.
Position Overview and Essential Functions Develop and implement strategically sound marketing and business development strategies and activities in the Nashville market that drive new business opportunities, develop and enhance relationships, and increase market profile. Identify and build strategic relationships with high-profile, market-moving organizations in the Nashville market and leverage them to drive branding and business development initiatives on behalf of regional, firmwide industry and practice groups, and individual attorneys. Coach attorneys on successful business development techniques. Identify and manage external and internal industry, practice group events, sponsorships, and other business development and marketing activities designed to promote the profile of the firm and foster business growth. Provide regular updates to the designated firmwide practice, industry group, website pages, and the respective attorney biography pages. Provide ongoing business development research and analysis of the regional market. Assist with developing RFP responses and proactive client proposals. Work with the firm's communications team to identify promotion, PR, and social media opportunities that support the profile of the industry and practice groups and the firm's presence in the Nashville market. Encourage quality service and consistency through the institution of "best practices" of department efforts such as events, sponsorships, and invitations; track efforts and communicate results of same. Assist with additional firmwide marketing projects as required. Specific Requirements
Minimum of three to five years of business development and marketing experience in law firms, professional services, real estate, investment management, private equity, or venture capital firms. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related fields. Experience working with partners and senior executives in a fast-paced and client focused environment. Strategic, diplomatic, flexible, and organized with the ability to prioritize workloads, work independently, manage multiple demands, and complete tasks under time constraints. Understand the legal or similar professional service environments. Excellent interpersonal and listening skills. Process-oriented with the ability to gather and synthesize information. Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal skills with strong proofreading and grammar skills. Understand the importance of partnering with office leadership, practice and industry leaders, members of the business development team, stakeholders, vendors, and internal clients in an open, collaborative, proactive, and constructive manner. Ability to work off-hours and travel, as required, to firm offices. Excellent presentation and business acumen. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of CRM systems is a plus. Other details
