Technical Marketing Engineer Organization Overview The Technical Marketing Organization works alongside the Product Marketing and training teams. Objective The technical marketing engineer would be the global subject matter expert for 1 or more Fortinet products. Responsibilities The role requires the person to become the subject matter expert for 1 or more products. This is achieved mainly through setting up the desired systems in a lab environment but also continued communication with Development Head, PM, PMM, and SE's. The TME would be expected to answer technical field questions via email or collaboration tools and help when requested to present the product via conference calls or within the Executive Briefing center. The TME would be part of a larger group of Fortinet experts that facilitates specific customer group interaction. Another key function would be hands-on competitive assessments based on setting up the different systems in a lab and producing a report based on the analysis. The TME would work closely with the PM and PMM to provide technical direction and validation on any campaign assets that are being developed. In addition, support the PM in making sure the product demo is updated and running. Required Skills The skills are very technical, with the candidate being able to set up Fortinet and competitive products. Expert and real-world knowledge in any of the following Network Security Products such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Email Gateways, Web Gateways, Sandboxing, Web Application Firewalls, Authentication, Wireless, Endpoint, and ADC's. Education University degree preferred but not mandated. Experience in building customer networks can counter any formal education. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $125,000 - $220,000 per year. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
