Advertising Director
The primary role of this position will be to manage the development of our Advertising Sales Team. This position focuses on developing revenues from new advertisers and growing revenue from existing advertisers. The Advertising Director will support, plan, and execute newspaper branded programs and advertising initiatives within the department. In addition, the Advertising Director will serve as an integral part of the newspaper’s leadership team.
Responsibilities:
Train and support Sales Representatives
Set monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals for team and individuals
Track progress of revenue goals for team and individuals
Provide good customer service
Follow through to maintain long-term client relationships
Manage multiple priorities across a variety of platforms
Work with Publisher to ensure department is meeting company expectations
Coordinate projects in support of advertising revenue achievement
Complete administrative tasks/reports as required
Work with company-wide sales initiatives
Qualifications:
Previous sales experience required
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under tight deadlines
Results oriented and high achiever
Positive attitude
Attention to detail and high level of accountability
Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
Self-starter who can set and manage priorities
Considered to be a strong coach and motivator
Communicate effectively with peers, superiors, and customers
Maintain dependability and professionalism
Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Teams
Ability to learn new computer programs
