Trade Marketing Manager
Location: New York (onsite)
Base Salary Range: $142,000 - $200,000

As a trade marketing manager at X, you'll be responsible for the perception and narrative around who X is becoming, our relationships with the media our customers consume everyday, and driving a consistent 52-weeks a year positive storytelling in key entertainment and advertising trades. The role is responsible for all media relations work with our trade press, supporting our broader content vision and mission, social and marketing work, and contributing to our editorial strategy and telling our story on our own platform. The role requires an executive with excellent judgment, discretion and understanding of how to tell X's story in a compelling and creative way and proactively creating business facing stories that drive to incremental revenue growth in the marketplace. You'll be responsible for ensuring our community is well-informed on our latest product innovations, client successes, executive growth and strategies, and overall company narrative.

Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact for all of our relationships with key trade media, including handling reactive inquiries and identifying proactive opportunities
  • Work closely with content department, sales and marketing teams to align on messaging and business needs, including creating collateral materials
  • Support the work of the wider content and marketing teams, including delivering on-platform activity around Originals and core publisher content
  • Support executive content distribution and panel opportunities for growth and company awareness
  • Support employee recognition submissions to industry
  • Be responsible for surfacing proactive opportunities to tell X's story and highlight the company's product and features.
  • Identify competitive trends around the business that could fuel new growth stories and opportunities for the company
Skills and experience
  • 7+ years communications and media experience, with deep experience and understanding of X and the broader platform and advertising landscape
  • Excellent relationships with the advertising and marketing media sector
  • An "always-on" mindset, combined with the creativity and flexibility to jump into conversations quickly and thoughtfully
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and impeccable attention to detail
  • Flexibility; open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
